Christmas Mini Sessions

I know many people see candy canes and the wording {Christmas} and think I am crazy, pure crazy, I am mean it's not even September yet. In photography land, much like how far out orders go for the best bakeries -- everything books out well in advance!

These last few {Christmas Mini} sessions (and 2 fall mini sessions) are the last open slots on my calendar for 2016!

Normally, Christmas Mini's are at the Christmas Tree Farm! However, they are not open for the season yet when I have availability as we will be in Michigan for a large part of November. Expect to be back at the farm next year! :) 

With the Christmas Tree farm out -- I thought what better way to capture the family then with Christmas bunting on a wall of chopped logs, christmas lights, ornaments hanging from tree's,  roasting marshmallows around a fire, and a lush green backdrop! Therefore, Christmas Mini's this year will be around the bonfire! (I will only be shooting the family around the fire -- no children individuals by the fire unless they are elementary 2nd grade and above). To capture the individuals, I will have a set-up off to the side in the grass so we are not near the fire for this!

Christmas Mini Sessions ~ Around the Campfire 

November 6th

What is a { Mini Session } 

Mini Sessions are days when I shoot back to back at pre-determined locations on select dates. These work great for families with children with shorter attention spans vs a prolonged full hour shoot. As a former preschool and elementary teacher; I have worked with children with a wide range of abilities, personalities, and needs. Mr. Cow & Mr. Frog come along and as I do at any session, we work around the kids! Due to the fast paced session; mini sessions do not apply for newborns sessions. 

What's Included: 

Before your session: We will be in email communication where I will email over the session agreement once your mini session steps below are complete, session location address, reminder of your time slot, to instructions on where you can meet me at your chosen mini. 

After your session: previews will uploaded online to Mallory Kate Photography social media within three days of your session date. Previews include four edited and watermarked images so you can see a glimpse into your session images.  When editing is complete, your sixteen images (eight in color, the same eight in black and white) will be put on your preference of a disc or a USB and mailed to your preferred mailing address.  The images you receive upon editing completion will not have a watermark. You will have a print release on your disc or USB outlying terms to printing rights to print where you please! 

Mini sessions are for up to 6 individuals per shoot. 

Payment: 

Payment is required in full for mini sessions. As we shoot back-to-back with clients, this allows the allotted time for capturing memories to its fullest vs monetary exchanges. $20 of the mini session applies toward your non-refundable retainer which reserves your time slot. If there is rain on a date of your scheduled mini session, the sessions will be postponed to the rain date. If you cannot make this make-up date, the balance outside of the non-refundable retainer will be reimbursed via the route you submitted payment. 

Once you complete the steps below in booking, I will create your invoice in your preference of Paypal or Credit Card.

From there, I will contact with the session agreement form - create your invoice - and will reach out with the location info and reminders closer to!

Fall Mini Sessions

After record rainfalls in June -- to the hottest August on record, I don't know about you -- but this North Carolinian is ready for all things FALL! 

Most clients know -- we recently welcomed our IVF miracle boy to our family and with that, the order for booking sessions has changed to maximize my time with my sweet boy and be able to return to photography, allowing me time to get out and capture moments for local families!  Therefore, please take the time to read the post in full if interested in booking a fall mini session!

Sweet As Apple Pie Mini Sessions ~ Just the Kids 

September 17th 

Harris Lake County Park 

(Rain date: September 18th) 

Cost: $65 

    The sun through the tree's, the fall set-up as in the images above, and a picturesque location to capture fall images of your children! 

Pumpkin Patch Mini Sessions ~ Family or Just the Kids

October 15th 

Willow Springs 

(Rain date: October 16th) 

Cost: $65 

We will start your session with family/sibling images with the pumpkin patch in the background along with the fall foliage. We will then transition into the patch where I will capture your family as you pick your pumpkins, individuals of the kids, laughter and fun! 

As the pumpkins are not 100% ready yet - I do not have preview pictures of this mini.

Michigan | November Mini Sessions

I love looking back through my archives and seeing images from sessions where their little was 3 months of age and here I am with the privilege to still capture them and their family! Michigan we are headed your way this November and I look forward to seeing some of my Mitten clients and new ones as well!

I will be offering sessions in two different locations as clients are spread out from Reed City – to Big Rapids, Walker to Hastings – so with that, please check out all the info and if you are interested in securing a slot while we are back in the Mitten – I would love to be behind the lens to capture YOU and YOUR family!

Booking:

Mini sessions are when I pre-schedule clients and shoot back to back in one location. If you have young children these are great! Lets face it – kids have by nature, shorter attention spans – mini sessions allow us to work around that!

If you are interested in booking a session, please fill out this quick questionnaire where you will fill out your preferred time slot along with contact info.  I will block off on the blog time slots as they are booked in a first come, first serve notion once a session retainer has been made; therefore, I ask you request your preferred and a back-up time slot in-case one is booked. Once I receive the questionnaire in my email, I will also email over the digital contact. Once signed, I will create your invoice and we can reserve your desired session. 

The questionnaire gives me your current/preferred mailing address, ages of children if a new client, and your preferences: do you want me to just capture the kids with individual and sibling shots, full family pictures where we do some family, one of mom and dad, one sibling and individual, all individuals. Is it a party for 2?! This helps get me prepared for your session!

Payment:

To secure your time slot, a non-refundable retainer of $20 is due upon booking. This can be made via credit card or through paypal. The remaining balance of $45 is due upon your session date, prior to the shoot. 

What’s Included: 

A week before your session, I will reach out via email with a reminder of your session time slot, your remaining balance, the address of your chosen location, and instructions on where to meet me. 

Following your session, previews will be uploaded online within three days. Previews include four edited and watermarked images so you can see a glimpse into your session.  These images will be posted on social media sites along with the blog. When editing is complete, your fourteen images (seven in color, the same seven in black and white) will be put on a USB or DVD (client preference) and mailed to the preferred mailing address. Due to the nature of the sessions taking place close to the holidays, in addition to the USB/DVD  I will also give you access once editing is complete online so you can get cards/prints ordered in time for quick holiday turn-around.  The images you receive upon editing completion will not have a watermark. You will have a print release to print where you please outlying terms to printing rights.

Mini Sessions -- As I shoot back-to-back with several clients, it is very important that you show up on time. It is better to be early than late! If you do arrive late, your session time is cut down as it still ends at the approximate time as the next client has their own paid/preferred time slot. 

As these are fast paced sessions - they are geared for up to six individuals so we can capture your family in full in the approximate time. If you have a larger party, please inquire as then it is best to take the last time slot of the day. Each additional person is $15 as this requires more editing time.  

Wardrobe – We all know Michigan weather can be crazy! Plan to wear layers! 

Props – Do you have a special something you want incorporated into your session in addition to what I will have on hand? Absolutely feel free to bring along to your session. Due to the nature of Anderson and Girls already having animals on the grounds, no pets from home will be allowed to be a part of your session. I will have Christmas themed props available at both sessions.
